I am not familar with the character, but I like the model. One thing, you might consider a slightly different angle. At first I couldn't understand why the creature had fingers at the end of its trunk. Then I realized that was his other arm.

This bring back memories! randyrives is right about the camera angle and maybe you need to change the specular setting to make the material look more like the wool it was? Great stuff. VH
