Artwork to amuse, amaze, and sometimes terrify.
BIO
I started out illustrating my own non-fiction books. When I "went digital," I realized that I could be doing much more creative things and soon started doing illustrations that stood alone.
Since then I've created fantasy and science fiction book illustrations for Byron Preiss/ibooks, Delirium Books, Seattle Books, and many magazines and small book publishers. One highpoint of my work was having an illustration selected for the cover of Renderosity's first Digital Art for the 21st Century (with my work also appearing inside, too).
In addition to the artwork I have here at Renderosity, I have more pictures "for your viewing pleasure" at DuncanLong.com

A more valiant and good natured person would admire and respect your talent. I however am very very bitter.

The rendering is fantastic, once again congratulations.

super job love that gun is it a .38 ?
duncanlong
Yes, I guess it this revolver would probably be a .38 - a 5-shot Ruger SP101 is what was the "model." They're normally seen in .38 Special but also are made in 9mm, with a special clip to hold the rimless cartridges in the cyclinder in that chambering. But the majority are .38 Specials.

Wow I hate Corel, but you made some stunning art with it. The gun reflection is perfect. The cloth is soo well done. Your painting is fantastic. Vote!

PhotoPaint allows me to work faster than with Photoshop since it can be customized in a variety of ways. However I often get snickers from art directors (who almost universally use Photoshop with Macs) when I tell them I use PhotoPaint on a PC. It isn't easy being the straight man for editor's humor (ha).

Wow - this is really excellent - both conceptually and compositionally. The way you cropped this is awesome. Excellent image!
