Description
Thia was my entry for shadows and light. The scene is a simple cube with appropriate sub groups to apply wall and window textures to...all maps here.
The lamp is made by converting an image to the shell grid, extruding,fracturing faces, and conforming to a cylinder.
The glass part is an extruded cylinder,slightly smaller inside the shell mesh, with RJJGrid bump.itx.
The light is a simple rod, made volumetric to glow and assigned S S Light. It is the only light in the scene.
DOF was seyt up at .125, AA at Default,2 hours to render with 45 count SofShadow setting

It's got my vote! One of your truly better renders. Reminds me somewhat of your button knife pic.

Thanx Barry and all, that also was a favorite of mine and a major step up as doing tortoise shell is a difficult task,and primarily what the knife render was about.
