Hmm thats weird, I thought you could post more than one comment, guess not. Anyways I said that the image is excellent. I'm becoming a fan of your spaceships quickly. I agree with sms about the animation, or it would also be could to have in an image with some of your other craft, or both.

You have a very nice design going here! :-) I like how there is a balance between relatively detailed areas of the ship (noise) and relatively blank areas (quiet). A colorful logo and some registration markings could add even more to this already way cool ship.

Thanks dcmstarships for the tip. I always seem to draw a blank when it comes to the final details of modeling ships! As soon as I can think of a name I will add some registry numbers and such. I also have yet to add detail to the bottom of the ship which will be my next big step. Dead Last, thanks for the comment. I am working on texturing my battlecarrier right now so once I am done with that then I will make an image with the two of those ships. I have some other designs, not quite near completion as my destroyer that I will be working on soon. As well as a fighter so I can do a fleet type image. volk, I have a short animation with the destroyer coming out Faster Than Light Travel. I need to refine it more but I will let you know when I am done with it and have posted it on my website.

Like the blocky functional look - as for a name, what about some fictious mid ranking officer, the "Franklin G. Scott" class or perhaps the names of towns (or space colonies come to think of it)

Hephaestus...hammer of the Gods!

The name I actually settled on was Dresden Class. I tried to pick a city no one had chosen for the name of a ship and something that is not so obscure.
