Description
I've finally bitten the bullet and got into modeling with LightWave. And it has been ages since I've posted anything, so I thought I post a pic of my latest project. I named this ship in honor of my wife, a Pisces herself. Anyway, this is still very much a work in progress (not to mention a huge learning process). I hope to have her finished in a week or so.
So far, I haven't done much mapping at all. The only texture maps on the ship are on the top of the saucer - an Aztec and block pattern, other than that all the detail is modeled.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Wow! You are off to a great start. I am very impressed. Being a long time Star Trek fan I can see that you have an eye for their ship design. Please keep posting.

Thanks reddog, but I can't take credit for the ship design. I've based my ship off of the Churchill designed by SFM/SFA artist Anarion some time ago. I am making modifications to the design as I go. Here are some original renders done by Anarion at Star Trek Australia - http://www.startrekaustralia.com/startrek/federation/churchill/

It is easy to get sick of Star Trek and Star Wars images...very very quickly. But every once in a while someone comes along and produces a truly beauty image that is a pleasure to view. And here one is...
