Description

"This is the most complex image I have created to date. After almost a month of modeling, refining textures, posing, adding and removing characters and elements with the file growing to 392 MB, over 5,000,000 polygons with a few crashes and then replacing all but one of the M2 figures I started with to MM1Reduced Res figures, retweeking all the poses and finally getting to a managable 4,100,000 polys I present the final product. This scene is my representation of Hannibals War Elephants battling the great Roman war machine." Thanks to Daz for there great products, Chains(Scoopey), Zebra Tack(Horsefeathers, Elephant Battle Tower, harness and Carthiginian Helmet modeled by me.

What a wonderful scene. I suggest you think about the archer on the left elephant, the elephant has just reared up, it might be more interesting to have that archer now shooting about 30 deg. up into the air, his aim spoiled

Terrific posing and details in this, really amazing! I'd like to see this with more realistic detailing in the landscape, although your computer might not appreciate it, like trees and some texturing on the mountains. But it really is a massive effort, BRAVO!

Amazing! What a great picture! To make it even better, here a few suggestions: 1. I agree with Djeser, put some vegetation on the hill, or at least a more strucktured (bumpy)texture. 2. Make the left hill a little less edgy. I don't know where you battle is supposed to take place. If it is in the Italian Alps then I would put some steep green hills in the closer Background and some snowy mountains in the further Background. 3. Cover the feet of the roman throwing the speer with some grass or put him a little bit higher, since I think his feet are a little too deep into the ground 4. If possible (I don't know how), put a little dust cloud around the fallen horse's back to give it a little more dramatic view. That's only if your machine still makes it possible. I am looking forward to see more of such historic events. GOOD WORK!!!

Superb action here! Bravo! Though I would like a slightly different suggestion than the others about the background. Get rid of it. A clouds of smoke and dust with some blured spear points protruding would be just the right stuff. You achievd excellent positions and poses and now it's time to forget about the challenging way of makin' it Vue only. Go to PhotoShop make a major postworking an finish up with excellent batalie.
