Description

My thanks to Morgan Bell and Paul DeCelle for sharing there technique for incorporating the Tai Chi symbol into a fractal. This is from the Work In Progres folder, I thought I'd post it to invite comments on what I might do for the background. The title comes from the translation of "Tai Chi" which is "Supreme Ultimate", if I remember my Tai Chi Chuan lessons correctly. Thanks for looking.

The yin and yang of fractals. :-) This is really pretty. I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions for the background. I like it the way it is.

I'd like to see it on a tiled background. What an awesome design- symmetry in motion. Love your palette and texture.

For my taste there is too much symmetry. I would drop the lower half. Linda Mc's proposal for a geometric background sounds nice, esp. because your spiral shapes are well-defined and with sharp borders. My own experience is - rotate the tiles so that they are a bit away from the horizontal/vertical axis...

It's a fantastic fractal, so intricate and beautiful. I think the background looks great as it is, it makes the fractal stand out.

The spiral is beautiful, but I agree with Andreas - too much symmetry. For the background, I would prefer to see something that doesn't have any definite shapes, just a texture, preferably in a dark color, maybe with mottled dark and light areas... Just my 2 cents :)

I would also lose the lower half, but as for a background ... It's gonna be difficult not to spoil the beauty of the fractal, maybe Thelma is right and it just not need one. But hey, as many people, as many opinions. In any way this is SOME egg !! Amazing ...
