Description

A single blow shatters a silver mirror A single lie can shatter a friendship What does it take to mend the mirror? What can possibly fix a broken friendship? A mirror, shatters into a thousand pieces..... A friendship based on lies, when it shatters, can fall to the ground into a thousand thousand pieces. My mirror, and a dear friendship shattered into pieces. When I look into the mirror now, I see something distorted and ugly...... I am trying to piece the mirror back together, But, can I ever piece the friendship back together? The mirror is slowly coming together, but some of the pieces don't fit like they used to..... Some of the pieces are missing never to be found again.... Will the friendship be the same? Will I be given the chance to try to restore the trust I broke? The mirror, though shattered, and missing pieces, can be mended.... The state of my friendship is not as certain. The whole of the mirror, will never be the same. Some of the pieces will be too small to place properly... Some will be too jagged and sharp to handle and must be discarded.... But there will be some, that fit as they should,.... They will not fit as they once had, but they will combine to form a new reflection. The hope I have is that the reflection I finally gaze upon is on that I can like..... One that can be liked by those around me as well. One piece at a time is placed back into a new frame...... One piece at a time I see a new reflection emerge...... It is my wish, my desire to mend this broken mirror..... It is my hope that the end result reflects better than the once whole mirror did.

Sounds like a tough time .... well written .... I look in my mirror and don't always like what I see, either .... and that's just 'me' looking back! .... wink! .... so, hopefully 'time' will be your best ally.
