Description

Modeled and texture this tonight. About 3 hours worth of work. The textures were painted in Bodypaint. I have been watching the CG Artist Bodypaint training DVD. Since I learn by watching better it has helped alot. I still have a lot to learn, but at least I was able to texture this. (even if I can't hand paint textures that well) The body is a little large. I would like comments and crits on this. Thanks!

Looks good so far. I would put some bump into the wings you could probably try using the color map or a modified version of it. Might be all you need to bring up the wings a little. I suspect some bump would sharpen things up a bit in the wings and they would match the sharpness of the body a little better.

the patterns look nice but I do like the little bodies and heads- not sure if you're after realism or humor with this but they would look funnier if you made the head twice as big and the body half size, or half as thick

Soapy - Thanks, I have added bumpmap to the wings and it has helped. shakes - I am not going for total realism, just enough to make you think it was real at first glance. I like your idea of a big head for a more cartoon feel.
