Description

Well Here it is. . . just barely within my grasp! Unfortunatly Rhino3d has decided to rob me of my hard work and will not conver the ship into *.obj or *.3ds :( If any one has a 2meg limit or more for their e-mail and has Rhino3D, Plus is willing to convert my carrier into the previously stated formats (either one). I will be more than happy to E-mail it to that person. Signed a VERY upset DW

look on the web for a program called 'Crossroads', http://home.europa.com/~keithr/Crossroads/index.html
does several format conversions..best on smaller models, tho. Not sure what format you're in, but there's several programs that can do things as well..you might need a plugin (not familiar with how Rhino works, only what it does..;) to do that. I've heard of folks using Rhino and Wings together ( http://www.wings3d.com ), which can convert to .3ds, .obj, .ai, and .ndo. Great concept, keep at it.

Problem is .obj and .3ds are plygonal, whereas the .3dm files Rhino users are familiar with are NURBS. To convert from .3dm to either one, espescially on LARGE models, it'll take some time. Its highly unlikely that you would be able to do it all at once. PM me for more
