I was standing on the Cocoa Beach.Pier. The pier extents about a quarter mile into the water. It is about 30 feet above the water's surface so you are looking down directly on top of the break. The pier has a bar, a restaurant, a fishing area and a tiki bar at the end.
The original photo was 1600x1200 shot at 2MPixels. I use the shot sequencer. Once the shutter button is depressed pictures are captured at a 0.2 second interval until the shutter is released. Then the last 5 frames are stored. I usually press the shutter when a surfer catches a wave and then and release it once something spectacular occurs or the the surfer wipes out.
On this photo I cropped a sweet spot of 800x600. In this file photo the base of the pier is shown www.graftacs.com/pics/esa_dec03/jp/esa20097.jpg during a competition in December. During the awards presentation, the pier is in the background. in tail end of this gallery.
