Description
Lower half of hull modeled in Strata Studio pro. The rest in Bryce5.
This was my first attempt at Bryce5 (and 3D modeling for that matter) right out of the box. The work is still in progress which I have not had time to touch in 8 months. The idea was to create the entire schooner in fine detail, with optional furled and unfurled sails, etc, and then figure out this texture business. I was then going to create dozens of different environments for full renders.
Ha! I thought I was going to create this complex master piece that no one has ever attempted. I mean, you gotta know something about all of the standing and running rigging to get it true .... I've since found other artist are way ahead of me and have created beautiful sailing ships ( you and others are dogs, Hackster :-).
Will get back on it one day. At least I've had the oportunity to create other projects which I'm in the process of uploading one per day to Renderosity.
I'm in awe of seeing other artists' creativity and technical skill on this site. I feel like I'm back in Architecture 101 and just saw all of the senior classes projects mounted on the walls.
Oh well, practice makes perfect.

Always room for more fine models! You should finish her up!
