Description

***Lander has separated from orbiter...descent to Arret Ehtnax sector 34 has begun...estimated descent time: 10 minutes to surface*** In humankind's quest for a new, suitable planet to sustain the last of the human race, this planet called Arret Ehtnax was discovered when hope was all but lost. So far, remote observations from the orbiter look very promising, with appropriate levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, a reasonable temperature range on the planet's surface, and an intact ozone layer to shield the surface from harmful UV rays. An exploratory team is already on its way here for some manned exploration, provided the data collected from the lander is satisfactory. A second exploratory team is also on it's way to the Barnard's Star system, as water was discovered on the fourth planet's surface. Hope is not lost yet. This time, mankind has learned its lesson...the human race will only last as long as its environment does. Continuing my 'Satellite Imagery' and me109's 'Last Hope ?' story. I hope you like it. Thanks to all the kind comments on my last render, 'Frigid Reflections'! All comments are welcome! --Mike

Wow, Mike! great continuation of the story. I hope the exploratory teams will find good news, because there are rumors that the Planet in Banards star system hides a horrific secret... Excellent work!
