Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

That is truely beautiful JCV. My two favourite colours in purple and dark green together. Love the words that accompanied this. Well done :)

Wonderful photo (love those purples) and great thoughts as well. I guess it is named the military orchid because of the "ranks" of flowers? They DO look like little figurs, but more like nuns with the big habbits rather than soldiers. I do think you picked the right category...lol.

I'm not sure humans are capable of peace...and least not the ones in charge...but we can always pray and hope for a change. I love the details in this flower and the lovely purple color.

Gorgeous flowers! and your words...well i think about the devastation of wars and pray for peace. i do believe that won't happen until the 2nd coming of Christ. I've never understood how some people could be so cruel and the so many people are fighting and killing each other. thanks for sharing your thoughts and this lovely image!

this is so beautiful!!!!!! i think much about your words here. there is a huge war between good and evil, and peace on Earth...well i long for that too. I realize troubles will only get worse. whatever i am facing now...well somehow this morning while looking at this and thinking about your words, I'm wondering if all the troubles i've experienced have been to strengthen me for what lies ahead. I believe we are living in the End Times, and that there is huge, huge troubles ahead. I have to be ready. Has my life been some kind of training? I have to surrender my life and will over to Jesus. When will i do this? The song "Onward Christian Soldiers is in my mind now. I need to pray upon those lyrics. I stumbled here this morning...why? I think perhaps here i found a part of an answer...an explanation. thanks for listening.
