I took this shot with a Nikon 5400 when I was back east in Alabama and Florida. I hope you enjoy the picture, I haven't posted here in a long time. Comments always welcome, and thanks for looking.

Oh man! that's awesome... so sharp nightshot was a long time ago i saw. I've always wanted to capture lightning and the weatherman on tv has promised thunder for over a week now, but so far nothing. I really hope i get a chance to take a photo like this. Hat off!

How the hell did you snap the picture right when the lightning struck? Did you have to sit around patiently and wait for it to happen? Or did you get lucky? Either way, I'm glad you caught it because it's beautiful!
