The symetry looks more skewed than it really is because they didn't mow the grass in straight lines. Also, if dtp actually knew his history, he would know that US imperialism ended, more or less, by the 1920's and that the US then moved toward expansionism. Slightly before Reagan's time.

Nice photo I admit, kinda "postcardish." Too bad that bush is there on the right (and I wont comment about the one being inside) it takes away from the symmetry.
Just don't understand why you titled it what you did. No-one ever mentions Communism anymore.

sigh The flag is at half mast in observance of the death of Ronald Reagan, founder of reaganomics and abolisher of communism throughout the world during the 80's. So, in essence, the White House (the US), is observing the greatness of its past President (Reagan), hence, "For the Abolishment of Communism". I'll remember to try and be a little less abstract in the future.

Wegerle, I love your post, I like that its "postcard-ish", I understood what you meant with your title and Ronald Reagan's part in it and I'm going to take the high road and refrain from commenting on an ignorant comment in here. Thanks for your nice pic!
