Great work. The lighting is excellent as are your textures and the view looks very real indeed through the window. Vote!

Very good! Are you making all the objects on your own? Are you studying this stuff in school or is it a hobby of yours?

could gawk at this all day.. realism is something that's very hard to achieve, and you've done it magnificently!

Ah! I thought so. But based on the realism of the interior, I couldn't be sure. Well, great stuff! I checked out the rest of your gallery, too. Your work is fantastic! You make realism look easy (and it isn't)! :) EDIT: Hmm...That's odd. My first comment seems to have disappeared. Are you only allowed one per image? Oh well, great pic Otacon! :)

Thanks. I model all the objects in my scenes. Some of them are reused from other scenes that ive done, like the books, and one lamp. This is just a hobby right now, but i would love to make it a career someday.

Very Good pic, very realistic. The UVmapping on the those wooden stands behind the couch could be off set, so they don't look clones, and the bricks are to clean and flat, Try a bit of displacement to make it less flat. Keep it up. You are doing very well, keep it up.

Really nice work! I would rank this right on top with the best that I have seen thus far. Got the stuff to accomplish these forms of renders myself, just have not actually attempted any yet in a serious way. Thanks for sharing it.

Very good image, but It seems that the black lamp may be a little too dark. It seems if the room were that bright you would see a slight highlight on the shade. Also the room is very bright and colorful while the outside seems a little saturated and over exposed. I'm looking out my window and the colors are very vibrant. Over all I think the rendering is very good. The sofa and other furniture is kickass. Keep up the good work.

Truely excellent, as tony650 says you make realism look easy and it isn't. Great work and I can't see you having any trouble making this a career trust me, I do, and you already produce images I'd love to be doing:-)

Thanks. For the lighting, i have a scaled area light just outside the big window pointed into the room. I have another scaled area light over the couch pointing down. A spotlight outside shining through the windows creating the shadows on the floor. I used interpolated radiosity with these settings. Intensity 100% bounces 1 Tolerance .7 RPE 5x15 MEV 6mm

This image will be the scale by which I'll compare the next interior I work on in Lightwave. Excellent.

The lighting in this is great! I think your couches and surfaces really add to the realism. Personally, I don't think the wooden stand surfaces are a problem. I think their being identical would only be picked up by people who know about cloning objects. It didn't jump out at me until pointed out. I think you can hedge your bets by simply rotating one of stands. Also, the brick texture on the walls looks great. I'm not expecting any more displacement on the brick, because it could simply be a smooth and quality masonry job, meant for an interior. It doesn't look like brick wallpaper or anything. It looks nice. :)
