Description

A fragrance of creation swirls in the earthen aroma of harvest while the sweet scent of green feeds our senses with awareness of our existence ***************** This is one of many spirals I have been puttering with for the last little while, all from one or two original formulas. I got on a roll. Sometimes, though, nothing is more relaxing than puttering with a spiral. The hardest part was coming up with a title. :) Thanks for viewing ... Pat

I love the earthy effect of dried clay brush-strokes -death signs, n'est-ce pas?- and the insistent and assertive life force of the greens, the two entwining in a life=death=life harvest of our imagination and perhaps our fears. This poet-artist creates with her senses and I, for one of many, I assume, delight in the intense freshness each time. Thank you PS...chalk another one up for life and living to the fullest.

"A fragrance of creation swirls in the earthen aroma of harvest while the sweet scent of green feeds our senses with awareness of our existence" .... (and a delightful fragrance you bring to the world, like a breath of fresh air).... --------------------------------------------------- "Sometimes, though, nothing is more relaxing than puttering with a spiral." .... Hmmm .... next time instead of looking at 'belly buttons' I'll try puttering with 'spirals' .... wink! .... -------------------------------------------------- BTW .... one gigantic VOTE !!! .... Ah me! Late again ... and all the better emotional content comments already made. Still ...I'm so pleased you titled this 'Harvest' ... and not just because the colours are exactly right, but also because the spiral has long been associated with the birth-death-rebirth cycle and has been such a symbol thoughout the world, and indeed throughout history. This reminds me strongly of the harvest 'corn dollies' traditionally made throughout Britain where the body is primarily a tight spiral. Tied up, would you believe, with green ribbon! This is a lovely fractal which raised many associations in my mind ....

I agree about the puttering, and do believe you've taken it to a fine art - this is gorgeous, and an excellent spiral interpretation. Loved Meico's commentary - adds a historic depth to your already almost archetypal image. Thank you, and v.
