Description

Here's one of the shots from my terrain "Land Paths". One good thing about this terrain is that it has only 5m spacing :) I've almost finished my "afternoon" atmo ;) Drop me a note, how is it. Comments are welcome. T4C&V :)

agree with 1pearl, cool sky too, smaller spacing gives the atmos a nice clean crisp feel:)

Really great work. I like your surface and Strata and the transparency of the water is very well chosen! Maybe you could add some height variation to your Strata, to make it look more real! xlnt pic!

First off, I would love to see this as a high resolution render as the surface mapping is suffering as a result of the low res but if you don't have the registered version there is not much you can do about that. Also the surf/foam doesn't really fit with the calm, transparent water. Both finishes are good but they are mutually exclusive. As me109 mentioned, the strata could do with some variation by the use of a height field and it would certainly add to the realism. Enough of the criticism and taking into account that its using the free version this image is really a very fine render. The water color and transparency is excellent and is a great contrast to the light shading of the cliffs. The surface mapping is well thought out and covers all of the areas well creating a realistic look to the scene. Overall, this is beautiful work and even with the minor shortcomings (just my opinion) well deserves a rating of excellent! :-)

Keep them coming, Piotr! Perfection is not easy, but this image has a lot going for it. I love the clarity of atmos and water. Smart choices.

Rids makes some very helpful comments - I agree that the surfacing works well here. Nice pic.

Piotr-I have a hard time believing this is not a photograph. Only upon closer examination did I discover otherwise. This is just great!
