Description

After various mountains, lakes and canyons time has come to make something like a desert... this time it's not quite a desert, but it's similar ;) For this project I had to create a pretty large terrain (2049 size) to achieve a good looking PoV. I made this in TerraFormer2. Stay tuned, there will be more from this terrain :) Thanks to you all for very kind comments on my last one :D For the first time it had over hundred viewings. Comments on this picture are as always welcome. Have a nice day (and weekend). Peter.

Peter, I can see you get better and better with each rendering. this is a big and complex work. Great surfaces and the large terrain really paid off.

The mud effect is very particular and interesting. Excellent composition.

The water seems a bit "hard" (see those straight lines in it?), but you achieved the fantastic POV & sense of scale. Word to the wise: don't overuse strata it's a good map but it looks better on rougher surfaces & softened up & with layers over it.

Really like the way you sculpt the terrain and the water is fabulous - lots of movement.

WOW, I had no idea how impressive Terragen is... especially in the hands of an excellent artist. I usually browse the Poser and Bryce galleries and just happened to have a look at the Terragen stuff. It's totally fantastic. I'm going to get that as soon as I can afford it!!!! Great image.

Whoa spring flood in the desert? Looks very real. I like the colour of the shore on the right - very nice pic. Agree with strata comment but just personal opinion. Look forward to the others you mention.

Very beautiful compo. The pov give a "scenic" view to the overall image. Just the water which have a "plastic" look.
