Description

Inspired by the video clip to Zebra by John Butler, a portrait of the tallented musican (his stuff can be heard on www.johnbutlertrio.com and www.jbtlive.com). The song is as follows: 'I can be loud man, I can be silent I could be young man or I could be old. I can be a gentleman, I can be violent. I could turn hot man or I can be cold. I could be just like the calm before the storm or Waiting for all hell yeah to break loose. I could be innocent or I could be guilty Doesn't mean that I boy believe in no noose I could be rich like a wandering Gypsy I could be poor like a fat wallet lost. I could be first man or I could come last Its not who breaks the ribbon It's how you get across. I could be red blue black or white sunset Darkest at day man brightest at night I could be the sun or I could be the moon I'm made up from the stars man I shining so bright. So sing it! I could be asleep or I could be awake I can be alive man or be the walking dead I can be ignorant, I could be informed I could lead my life man or i could be led I can be anything i put my mind to boy all i gotta do is give myself half a chance I can bring love back into my life and share it with the world if i got some balance' Painter 8.

I love the flow to it, the lettering is really incorporated well with the corresponding meanings. I like the colors you used in this. Calmer from the reds and oranges and the fire... I think something must be good for you. I think its something lyrical and quite at work with your flow. I think you're on to something.

A lot less angry and desperate than some of your previous work, this one almost feels serene to me. Love the color scheme. Excellent!

Amorphous and very organic. I love the way that the shapes all melt into each other. Beautifully done.

I am glad to see you finding inspiration from one form of art, and applying it to another. I think its exquisite, and not too far removed from your style (whicj is always excellent) just a lovely change of pace from such angry colors. Sweet!! hugs Jane
