Description


At night, just above the high tide line, the loggerhead turtle digs her nest and buries her eggs.

These turtle typically weigh several hundred pounds and lay about 100 eggs.

Note the tracks made by her fins.

I remember going out to the beach one night (maybe even the same beach) many many moons ago and stumbling across a turtle laying her eggs. There were actually tears streaming down her face! It was awesome! It's hard work for them to make it up the beach, too! Great shot! :^)
