eh... crap, i'm confused now. i thought this was a giant blue candytuft, but now i'm thinking it's a lilac scabiosa (pincushion flower). i'll have to go back to the garden store & ask...

p.s. this looks like Lilac Scabiosa Caucasia ("Miss Elliot") to me. Despite not knowing the exact genus of the flower, it's clear we all love the shot. Keep them coming.
