"Man fears the darkness, and so he scrapes away at the edges of it with fire."
I can't read what you keep inside your mind,
Protecting what I find within your walls.
Things I feel that I know just can't be real.
Trick and try to steal my life away.
Cold deception goes both ways.
Watch yourself or you'll get bathed.
In the darkness that is light.
As your spirit dies tonight.BIOThis used to say something but I destroyed it like I seem to do so well. Oh well, I'm sure something better will replace it in time.

Well done!! :-)

This is fabulous, Matt!! I can't believe how brilliant the sunset and the transparency of the figure...not a ghost, a memory of someone very real! Her lack of shadow is a superb detail!

Oh, Gabriel...how beautiful...how sad...to be apart from the one you truly love...I hope I never know such an ache in my heart...fabulous picture!! I love how you've made her into a very real memory that still lives on!

How sad. Sure makes you think how much hurt you can bring unto yourself.

Hey, man, this guy needs to find that lost love and tell her what's in his heart! Cool piece of art and really hits home to a lot of us men who lost because we made the wrong choice...I need a drink...lol

For those of us on the road in the rigs, we often leave a loved one behind...thanks for the tribute and the reminder! I really am impressed with how you made her a ghostly image in his memory--cool!

Sorry to post a comment so late but I've been out of town with my sister in Sussex, England! This is a beautiful and melancholic picture--sad but hopeful. I love that sunset! She has no shadow and that's a fab detail I wouldn't have thought of! Excellent!
