Description

Well, I wasnt going to upload any more till I was done, but I wanted to get some critiques on what Ive done before I go any further. Im not to sure about the curtain tie-backs (not so much the ties but the gold thingys holding them to the wall..) I think they look a bit big... Other than that, I think Im done my basic parts of the room.. I have to decorate (and add some more furniture to other parts of the room) I must thank Moe for helping out with the handles too! Thanks for that! Gabbi

I give you about one more day... And I will be asking you for advice. :) You are a fast learner and your renders are reflecting this. Maybe a couple of more small details to add, in order to complete your tidy scene. Such as wall skirting, window framing, books, clocks, pictures frames etc. Well done Gabbi.

nice! i'm going to give you some constructive critisizm: too clean. even the cleanest places have some grime. the textures on the curtains are very, very straight. maybe do something to "flaw" that a little. this is the first image i've looked at in, i'd say, 3 weeks now. i think. it's the first one that's really stood out for me. great job, now go out and make it SUPERB! ren

thanks for the compliments and critiques .. I appreciate it alot! :) I'm still trying to figure out texturing (the size is driving me nuts) and I get confused on the XYZ axis thing too, but I'll get there exentually - I hope- How whould I go about messing up the place a little? I would like to put wrinkles in the bed and uneven the curtains a bit...

I know that this is still a WIP, but it is an impressive one. :o)

Just a couple of things. You might want to move your sidetables away from your curtains. I would also suggest not using a fabric pattern on your curtains - by using colors and procedurals only it becomes easier to control how patterns would push, stretch or bunch together in reality.

As for dirtying things up a bit... have a look at gradients combined with procedurals in your textures. Even a very, very slight bump (or diffusion map) to a plain painted surface, about 3%, really helps lighting make a surface much more realistic.
