Looks a lot like a 1955 Corvette. I saw the 1953 in person and had a early plastic model by a maker whose vacuum alluminized "chrome" parts were a little too sloppy in the way they drew flow extrusion from the sprue. I say 1955 because of the knockoffs on the hubcaps. Yours looks like diecast zinc and could be ERTL or Matchbox.

A C1 Corvette...I have a 1960 Vette in my garage... This is a 1954 or 1955...1953 was white only...
