Description

As this ship comes from Poland I can't stop wondering whether Niutek has ever seen or heard about it - but I hope she will tell me... When I took this picture I was instantly reminded of those drawings of ships that some people hang up their walls, so I tried to copy that style by applying some filters but decided to do without those huge, heavy and rather ugly wooden frames that usually "go along with" those drawings...

:)) Well, since you asked, Drea... Fryderyk Chopin is one of the fastest and most beautiful sailships in Poland. This type of rigging was used by pirates because of the greater speed it gives. The ship was build for cptn. Krzysztof Baranowski's project called 'International Sailing School' in 1992 and it came third in the Columbus race across the Atlantic that year. I think that's enough info :D A wonderful shot, Drea and a splendid postwork, too. I'm very glad you didn't use the ugly wooden frames for it! Bravo :)))
