Description

My first image uploaded here at Renderosity (or anywhere else, for that matter :). Started playing around with metaballs in Bryce and this is what came out. Comments are welcome and ... what genre would you call this? I finally gave up and went with Alternative because I couldn't decide between the others, lol.

So that's what metaballs do! Good job with the lighting. I would label this as Science Fiction cuz it looks so much like a satellite. Glad you posted and hope you upload more.

This is a really COOL render!!! My husband (aka Kemal on renderosity) is going to start teaching me how to work with Bryce tonight. We were just talking about metaballs today while we were walking, so I'm so happy to see what he was talking about!!! Anyway, i probably would have put it in sci-fi 'cause this thing looks like a probe of some kind, but alternative is fine. I love the texture you chose...that shiny reflective glass is way cool!

The more I study this image, the more deeply it affects me. There is a deep serenity here where it is possible to contemplate all things from a perspective of Beauty, Meaning, and above all: Mystery. Even the greyness itself becomes a foil for the gorgeous stained-glass light pouring through your mysterious artifact. And in the imponderable distance... Of course! --the beckoning stars. :`) Thank you.
