Description
This is a recent project I completed for a Proposed lab Building at our University. This is frame 2 of 5. Modelled in Autocad. Rendered in Imagine. No post processing.

The wood grain effect is caused by a rendering that is not high enough resolution. I have all the grout joints in the brick shown on that building and if not rendered hi res (about 9000x600 pixels or higher) you will see that moire effect. This is partly due to the poor antialiasing in Imagine. If you crank up the antialising the render times go thru the roof. I find it easier to render at higher resolutions and then scale the rendering down afterwards. The rendering shown was only rendered at 4500x300 pixels so thats why you get the moire effect when you should see brick.

Beautiful work as always Rob, a real pityu bot the brick isn't it...drives me crazy as all the buildings I'd like to do from Winnipeg are mainly brick, and brick like Imagine does as well so at close they look so good.but zoom out and perspective it a bit and boom...moire...all the way...never tought of huge renders but only recently got a box that's do em so I may revisit some earlier failed renders with this in mind, thanx for the tip.
