Description

* The room keeps spinning... spinning around, spinning me round inside, inside... I got clouds in my head, I have no memory of your name but I still recall your face: those eyes, like a honey lake, sparkling, exciting, keep suggestin me thousand and one sins I would have liked to make... Nothing else of you has a place now in me, but maybe your voice... oh yes... your whisper there, lost cos of the moves I didn't tried to make. I lost you while thinkin, holdin a glass of liquids I could never really taste... I lost you in ice cubes trapped and stopped... by my fears of refusals and fears of low chances... What was your name, my wild gentle knight? Chimera, cos of all my doubts that turned you away... Come back, come back in this long night... come back, break the chains I did lock onto my own veins... I got clouds in my heart... that can't cover all the sweet sins I would have loved to make... I know I should have stopped you, I know I should have spoken... But nothing of you is a stable memory in me. Within I feel the void, within all that stays is my stupid concept of sin... will I ever like myself? Will I ever like myself? Chimera's gone, Chimera's gone, missed chances like ice cubes makin my poison much longer trouble to face. * ------------- Photoshop7, 1 hour and half, from this starting picture courtesy of lovely Shadane (girl, you rock :)) Fifth in the Poems Series...and you know the meaning of this series ;) ------------------ Before getting deeper about this piece, let me thank you ALL for the awesome welcomening back in this past week after I started back to be online. You left me wordless.. and infinitely happy. :) Infinitely. I thank again Shadane here to provide such awesome pics of her.. I have many more that I will love to work in the future, and her lovely face has conquered me so much I also wanna make a penciled portrait of her. As I saw this picture, I thought it was perfect for the image I had in mind to illustrate this fifth old poem of mine. It was also perfect for trying some texturing that I have always been inspired to make thanx to the awesome works of our gunsan :) Dunno if I have achieved my goal, but it was a good training for me for sure. Hope you can enjoy, and hope whomever feels, or felt like I did at those times, now,the same pain the poem represents, the same self refusal, can see the beauty he/she carries inside. There's always someone ready to catch it. But the first who has to is exactly the person who suffers.Or chances can't be taken, not fully, not well. Love is the key.The only universal key. :) Hugs, Meli :)

It is something quite like Gun's work... it has that same soft nebulosity that communicates deeper emotion than one might think. Here you're communicating that sense of self-frustration very closely, uncomfortably so even (which balances the visual beauty very well). I'm sure most if not all of us can relate to these emotions, I know I can. Of course you went through this several times yourself. The road to self-love is long and full of setbacks! Thanks for being so beautiful... and to Shadane for being the perfect model for this work :-) xxx
