Description

Named "The Desert Fox" for his audacious surprize attacks, Erwin Rommel led his famed Afrika Korps to early successes against the allies in the North Africa Campaign. Short of petrol, his troops exhausted, his request to withdraw his forces was refused and he was soon defeated in the Battles of El Alamein. tanks and armored vehicles from gunpoint-3D.com. Nice image! I was a huge fan of WWII history as a boy! Rommel was fun to read about. He was a brilliant tactician, and as you elude to, his decisions were overridden by that infamous madman! Rommel cared deeply about his troops, and did not send them into battle without carefully weighing the odds. It should be remembered that he was also a key conspirator in a (Unfortunately) botched attempt to assasinate that infamous madman. Rommel was a good man, and a good soldier. He was unfortunate to serve somone so evil and insane. Great image!! Really has that morning, sneak-attack feel/mood!

What a change Ken! But a superb twist for me, Im a fanatic about WWII, specially in armaments. Those Panzers are genially integrated into the landscape, the heat of the sand is almost visible. Very well done! BRAVO!

Most excellent ! I agree with Idom77,.....I don't believe there were any Konigs Tigers in service in the North African theater in 1942, mostly Panzer II and III's. Still, very well done !
