I don't know mojoworld, but I really like this pic! The dunes/sand seems to have a metallic sheen to my eyes! Love the colors!

In early spring the edges of the dunes around Mojave turn to deep mud. Passage is impossible even on the most Determined bogwheeler. At that point one can assess the progrss in exploring terrain as an obstacle with steam pouring off the pipes. Silt is finer than silica sand and silica sand is finer than decomposed granite. Dunes vary in softness and drainage which is perhaps not of interest to preservers of desert pupfish but appeals to the engineer.
