Description
Athena is the goddess of wisdom and of war; not in the same fashion as Ares however. She leapt out of Zeus' head after Hephaestus struck his head open after Zeus complained of a headache. Athena came leaping out fully armed. She is Zeus' favorite because of her wisdom and her other qualities. She is the patron of Athens after the citizens had chose between Poseidon, who offered them water, and Athena offered them the olive tree. The citizens picked the grey eyed Athena.
