Description
Took me a while to model in wings. it's actually quite difficult to make the sand part follow the glass it's in as it's smoothing. aside from that, rendered against a semidome of 125 lights with no shadows, and two more radials, one on top of the scene with no shadows and 1 on None, and another at the geographical center of the above mentioned light semidome, being the only one to cast shadows. don't know if i over did it or whatever, but it's a decent piece of modelling and an okay render. Took about 6 hours i believe. enjoy.

very realistic looking clock, good job. :)

Yeah modelling matching smooth curved surfaces can be a real pain in the butt, but it looks like you've managed to do it quite successfully. Not bad, not bad at all :)

This turned out very well, Drac.

Beautiful modelling and great textures and light. Congratulations !

Excellent work, I like the flow of the glass, and reflections add a nice touch against the background. I would love to see this with some HDRI or something like that.

Yeah, I have to say this is excellent!

The modeling & mats look great. The sand & glass effect got me on this one. Nice work Min.

This is excellent. Really nice modeling. I echo Flak's remarks made about following smooth curved surfaces. You have done nicely with this. That sand texture is most excellent. Nice render Drac.

To my recollection, this is the best hourglass 'sand' I've ever seen - and wonderfully rich in texture - evocative of gold dust.
