Description

Been thinking about death & dying lately...wondering if there will be someone to watch over me - both when I'm old & everyone has left me & in the next life...whatever that may be.

Thanks for the comment. I'm not meaning to be morbid...in fact, my husband and I had a blast on this shoot. I've been hanging on to this one for awhile. ;)

Beautiful pic, as always Pam. I used to think about that stuff alot when I worked with people that were dying--such a shame their families just abandon them-- I guess their afraid--Hell, we all are--better to face it sooner than later. I think that ultimately,we come in and go out the same way--alone.As far as the "other side"--??--Best to get straight with ourselves, and be our own best friend--then, no worries.--Shesa

Thank you. There are so many beautiful things in the cemetary that we shot over 50 pics that day and it was freezing cold...the ground was inches deep in mud and my husband didn't want to get out of the car. I kept saying, wait, wait...just one more, lol. I hope, as you stated LadyAngela, that I have indeed shown this beautiful monument in a respectful manner.

Thank you both for the comments. :) This is actually at a local cemetary (Syracuse, NY)dating back to the 1800's. They have so many fantastic monuments and headstones... I'll be posting more as I have time to work on them while trying to get my new website up. :)

Wonderful subject, I like the strong hi lights and the dreamy feel to it, for me I WOOD just remove the lettering it takes your eye from the subject :0 )

a dreamy vision in the softness & color, like how the leaves stand out... you do have such a fine sense of design... graveyards are quite beautiful, a feeling of quiet & respect hover over them...yes, these things are inevitable...

Love is timeless and eternal, and it will find an place too stay and rest,in another time and place. That which you lost will find life again,. I will then have too wait that the wheels off eternity turns, that i can turn and see my loved one come walking and smile the smile off the living again. Lord let your eternal mildness tenderness, and calm heel the wounds in my soul that the time`"s and the shadows failed. I have an small website ther may be something relating too your picture www.sitecenter.dk/glassarrow kind regards from lilackgert@webspeed.dk

Excellent shot Pam..and I too often think of who will take care of me when I get old. Never having children, I would be alone except for my husband. Relatives now a days do not take care of the elderly like they did 100 years or even 50 years ago. I put it in the Creator's hands and hope for the best.

This one just brought tears to my eyes due to the circumstances. This image provides a sense of soul,it conveys the thoughts of the artist as if she were still with us and I wish her thoughts of being old...someone will always be there to watch over you m'lady just as I am sure you are now watching over your loved ones even now:)
