Description
First Post in a long time...... :-(
Two Minbari Sharlin Cruisers exiting a jump-point.
The model was by Mark Kane, in LW, converted to TDDD, and then, a lot of playing with brushmaps- although, they still need some work.
Various pieces, like the upper and lower fins were completely reworked, in the Forms Editor, as the way the LW faces were arranged looked very strange!
Scanline Rendered on an Amiga A1200, 68030/68882 with 32 Meg RAM.

Kevin, I truly like this piece, and these are my favorite colors. Welcome back!

Indeed you've done a remarkable render...as well as all mentioned that nebula knocks my socks off...very good...

Beautiful render ! Nice work in the form editor !

Ha, Ha! The 'Nebula', is actually a brushmap, created using the Caustics2.itx, applied to a disk, with the caustics colours set to black, and the object colour to a bright blue. This was then copied, and made negative to use as a filter map, and both were applied to the inside of a cone. (The Iris texture was also used, to give the white light emitted from the centre of the jump-point- not seen here, though, due to the angle the render was done from.)

Ah, forms editor (a memory from the past!) These are also my favorite hues! Lovely work, though I think that I would prefer the left most ship to be smaller... as if further in the distance - somehow, they look a bit crowded to me, as they seem to be about the same size in too close proximity. It could just be my perceptual difficulties, though, lol... it really is excellent!

Thanks, tien, I know what you mean- but, the left-most cruiser is actually closer to the camera- as if it's exited the jump-point and has turned towards the camera- which was roughly what I was after.
