Description

Thanks for viewing ! Comments are welcome... I know the focus isnt impecable, but i liked the whole so much. Dont know this bee, havent found it yet either. Any help would be very much appreciated :o) When i took this shot i thought they only sat on ragwort (the plant) but yesterday i was there again and i couldnt find them. So i started looking around, and after a while i discovered they were right under my nose the whole time... they were sleeping in the flowering part of long grass. More shots will follow of this beauty... Hope you like :o) @PapaGuru: Im sorry, i didnt have any time yesterday, i will do it sometime today. Thanks for all your wonderful comments on "Last of the Bee-wolf" !! Many thanks, Enmos

Man, don't beat yourself up over the blur....it's barely perceptible. This image rocks....compositionally and technically. :)

Jeroen you take the most beautiful images and knock yourself for good images! Most people would die to get an image like this!

Great DOF which keeps distraction away from the bee. Other than a few hot spots it's a great shot with beautiful colors. Well done.

That's the spirit of the real artist, pushing himself to the very limit!

A lovely image !! I wonder if it may be one of the Volucella hoverflies (V. bombylans) I had seen one that I saw come out of a Bee nest then a wasp nest unharmed the Larvae are also left alone... There may be a black spot on its back and it is difficult to know unless size can be determined!! Hope that may help you indetify it..

I have never looked at a bee as being sweet, but your capture of this one makes it look like a fuzzy little pet. Excellent and Gorgeous work. :))

You are your own worst critic. How could find anything wrong with this perfect shot? The colors are wonderful and the lighting makes it look like its all glowing.
