to me your talent is evident here :) Having no reference it's a difficult way to paint faces, to me it looks very well done.. to my taste the mouth is a bit misplaced, but again there are faces who have actually the mouth a bit lower than not.. so ... I guess it's realistic anyway. Gorgeous colouring.. you're always wonderful in that :)

I think everyone needs to take the time to do this sort of thing. I't keeps your brain and your skills of observation sharp. To me.. It looks like you spent your time focusing here and there, building up localized areas. The effect is an uneven rendering, the nose receiving the least of your attention. Suggestion: Spend a little more time on the underpainting till the foundation ,overall, holds your interest. It's the most effective way to make sure that every part of the piece will hold your interest when you get to it. Your skin tones are gourgeous!

This is just gorgeous! Painting without references is awfully difficult, but you've done a wonderful job. I think her face might look a bit long to me, but that may just be me. This is really a wonderful painting, you're quite good :)
