After actually standing on Omaha beach during a trip to France a few years back, I can really understand the power of that moment. The span of only a few hours decided the outcome of last 50+ years. Thanks for reminding us!

Very good idea for one of the most sad period of history. I saw the American Cimetery, and all these perfect alignements of crosses, among nice trees in a beautiful garden, and all the quietness of the place seems most unrealistic, when you think that 50 years ago, the whole place was covered with blood of brave young men. I wish that those who are responsible of this overkill could go to hell... Nice picture for a nice idea :-)
