History of Humanity| Have we really evolved that far already? Why would we call what we have achieved thus far "civilization"? Syndroid

Very weird. I had a dream about eyes last night and how we evolved them from just a few light sensitive cells (don't ask, I'm just slightly mad). So quite unerving to see this picture this morning. It's a great picture. I can almost feel the texture.

They're like wet glass. Though her body paint is sexy and interesting, I keep returning to her eyes... Once again, a very careful job of commanding the flow of our sight.

Those yes are really striking indeed!! As for the question "have we really evolved?" I definitely say NO since most of us still act as real barbarians! A great piece!

the texture.... it's wind, fire and ground all together.the appearance is so divine.. but you get the devil in her eyes. And so one really links all with your message: what's evolution, if not a faster approachin to inevitable death? superb work my dear :)

I think it's typical of mankind's arrogance that we assume that we're now more advanced than we've ever been before in the past. Medicine is a good example, consider that modern-day Western practice only dates back a hundred years or so but we're so quick to laugh at the old ways that have been tried and tested for millenia, thinking we know better just because something is packaged in pill form. Maybe in technological terms we are more advanced than before (although the ancient Egyptian pyramids are just one classic example of something no one today would know how to achieve with such fantastic accuracy, even with what we have at our disposal now). But aside from that, admittedly with welcome oases of exceptions, what we call civilization is pretty retarded, especially with commercialism growing ever more rampant... I liken it to a dog chasing its own tail, but so many analogies would do just as well...

I think the civilization is just a question of money.... well, most of it. Once people paid with cows... now we pay with papers and rounded flat metals

We have to be more specific in our definitions. We are more advanced in many ways, but relatively speaking, as a whole, we are digging ourselves into what might turn out to be a huge mess...if it isn't already. Relative to what time...to what place?...pertaining to the state of the environment? Some of these indecisive ramblings are but a product of our times...to much information...

I think i agree with everyone here however this image seems to evoke more of a feeling of texture and abstact mesmerisome.
