Since first steps (or types:) with PC I was dazed with various CG landscape applications. First was old Bryce 2 (that pretty quickly grows to v4), then I saw Terragen, my favo for almost two years. The big relief from single sheet editing comes with Mojoworld application from Pandromeda - fully procedural based CG engine.
At current moment Mojoworld is my hobby :)
But You're welcome to visit my webpage TerraEscape for more images and Zazzle posters.

Man that's incredible! I'd really like ot get my hands on the TER and TGW! I'm still trying to figure out how you got the surface-map so well! Overlay? Good job!
Armands
Thanks Etienne! :) No overlays, just 3 snow layers and darkblue main layer...

I don't know how you could improve this! I'm assuming the oversized Galaxy is deliberate knowing you, Armands? Frank Lane

Well people thats just a cosmic fantasy :) I imagine this lonely winterish planet far from centre and plane of galaxy... yeah, is the same old trick with oversized galaxy :) Maybe in poster format at zazzle.com it looks better?

...I guess no one here knows about colliding galaxies...

I have a suggestion for the galaxy. Make it dimmer and make the individual points of stars more blurred together. A galaxy actually viewed from the distance you're portraying it would really be a lot less bright and more smudged, but still spectacular. That's if you're going for strict realism, which I always lean towards.

Id like it more without the postpro, because terrain and water are fantastic!

There's something very haunting about this piece. It looks as if the whole universe stopped at the exact moment something momentous was about to happen. It makes the writer in me want to know the rest of the story...
