Description

I would like to place this image as #28 into my Family album This image is also from one of my little stories. This given work was also inspired by those moments when my daughter was a little girl. The story: I used to get up each morning quite early, and walked before my daughter's room quietly as to not to wake her up. Although I knew that chances are that she already awake and she is waiting for me at the kitchen. Most of the time, when I entered into the kitchen, she was sitting on her chair and smiling at me. And our morning kitchen ritual started. Each morning she would ask me to prepare three different sandwiches. Each time, she wanted that I put into the sandwiches, something new -- different from what I put or spread on the sandwiches at the previous day. She would tell me exactly what she would like me to put in them. I would do as she asked me to. I tried to ask her why this or that filling into a given sandwich she would like on a particular day -- but I never got a straight answer. Although I could not get any answer to my question why she needs three sandwiches -- because as far as I knew her, she would hardly finish one sandwich. One day, I walked before my daughter's schoolyard. She was sitting with her little girlfriend next to one of the walls, and was talking and eating at the same time. I noticed that the sandwich she was eating wasn't the one I prepared. I did not call her, just stood outside her schoolyard and enjoyed looking at them from far away. That day, when she got home I told her that I saw her and her little friend at the morning. I also mentioned that as far as I could see from the distance she hasn't eaten the sandwich I prepared her. She didn't got embarrassed at all. She looked at me with her big beautiful blue eyes and told me: 'Mom, I need three sandwiches each morning because -- one sandwich I give to Betty -- who doesn't have any. The other one I trade with Mary's sandwich, because in that way we share. And at the third one I gave to my bother because he always forget at home the sandwich that you usually prepare him.' You developed a very special style of your own. Just clicked through your gallery and can't decide which one is my favorite, but I adore your monochrome pictures. This is really great artwork. Big fat compliment.

I just so on YouTube a little Japanese film, that in Japan nowadays you can give to your child a lunch-box that records where and when your lunch was eaten. Now, as I see it, when I will have grandchildren, I would buy that kind of device and see how and where my grandchildren eat their lunch. I do not have to go to visit their school in order to see that.
