The shield totaly rocks! Great design and effect. The reflections are VERY interesting. But the mesh background doesn't do it for me because it's a cage and you are saying that the protection comes from the shield. Open clouds or leaping flames would probably bring more of our focus to the shield, and not the construct of the cage/mesh. Still, very arresting work.
