Description

hmm... I wonder what you think of this one!! :) I know this is very different!... from everything. It all started out as a lighting-test. I wanted to achieve some sort of strong, lovely daylight that I could use in my next render, but I fell in love with the concept in this one. Two reasons : 1 - I like the different aspect ratio and the huge size, so you can see all the details in the pinetree :) 2 - I like the concept of starting in the top of a tree, and just slowly moving down along the stem, constantly revealing something new until you reach the ground. I'm really, really looking forward to hearing what you guys think of this one! :) I fear that the scale and aspect ratio might scare quite a few people off, before they give it a chance? hmm...? www.thomaskrahn.com Thanks for viewing, and feedback welcome! :) Thomas

Extra cool. A very strange effect. I would like to see a bird in the middle of the tree to make this part more interesting. The work on the ground is awesome. Excellent done !

This is absolutely awesome Thomas! I feel I am in the forest - only thing missing is that tantalizing pine scent. The lighting is simply fantastic as well. Bravo!!!!

Very original idea. Scrolling down I was very curious about what I would see next. I was not deceived, when I found the flowers on the ground. Fantastic lighting, marvellous work. vote

Excellent idea and composition. Only a pitty that the texture of the tree is not very convincing. I guess that is a common problem with vue, or it because there is just no vendor offering more detailled textures? Lighting and composition is very well done.

Great image. Worth the time to view. Really like the ground tex. at the end of the image. The process of viewing is like the one used when looking from the top down in the natural world.
