Many facilities changed hands and transport ships had to be heavily guarded to avoid being boarded by rival organisations. Eventually everyone was at war with everyone, not just Mars and Earth on a large-scale war but also the numerous small indepentend armies and wealthy leading industrial organisations, either to steal other's resources or protect the ones they already owned or aquired.
