Description
Built in 1994 and put in service in 1995, the Kursk was one of the newest subs in the Russian fleet. She mysteriously went down in August of 2001 with 130 crew members on board. A fleet of Russian frigates, subs and other vessels was rushed to the site to watch over the sub whilst rescue plans were made. All rescue attempts failed.

WOW. Although I don't like pictures that have war for a theme - this one is very impressive. Atmosphere is great. Very clean render - looks absolutely real.

That was so terribly sad, even more when they finally opened the Kurst up.

Oh yes, i remember the day very well. I was in France at that time. It was a tragedy over a lot of days. Horror. They said that the Russinas had some secret weapons on the ship, main reason that they didn't allowed any helping hand come close. This is a fantastic image Ken. Brilliant atmosphere, brilliand composition.

Very sad indeed ken , the realism in this piece is just amazing , well done:-)

Nice, but a major blooper is the fact that you have the name of the submarine wrong. Perhaps all the people who claim to remember the day so well were just too emotional to put you straight? www.russialink.org.uk/kursk/
