Description

Well, I finished my furniture for this room, now I have to decorate it and mess it up a bit. This is a veiw from one on the doorways, the other is beside the bookcase. Theres a dresser on the wall where the camera is, but you cant see it in this render.

Well, the blanket was hard to do, so that's as good as I could get it :S I've only been doing lightwave for a couple months so hopefully I can figure it out soon. Gabbi

This is all really done very, very well. The only critical input I have to your work is to respect real world scale. All the elements are individually modeled very well, but their size relationship to one another is a little bit off. (For example - the height of the bed's mattress, the side table tops and the chair seat at the desk should all be about 450mm to 500mm.) The man's dresser should be chest level (about 1400mm high), and the top mullion of your window should be about an arm's length above your head (at least 2300mm high). There's absolutely nothing wrong with what you are doing, but it always helps create the illusion of realism in your models to respect real world dimensions. :o) Only a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestions Moebius87. I tried to get everything measured ok.. but it's hard. I will try changing things that you said. :) I have a depth perception deficit so it's hard to get things right sometimes.

Coming on leaps and bounds Gabbi. I agree with Moe with the height of the objects that were highlighted. I feel like I have been watching you moving in, in this house. And seeing the furniture filling up the room nicely. I cannot wait until you open the boxes with lots of books, and stationary stuff. When is the house warming party anyway? Are we all invited to trash... erm sorry dirty up the place a little? Great work Gabbi

oogles this is nothing short of awesome. i feel so bad about my room scene now :( the bed looks a bit weird to me the way it slopes downwards where the feet are. unless it's some new orthopedic discovery, i think i'd feel pretty uncomfortable sleeping on that :p dammit.... i'm barely resisting the urge of fully re-making my Empty Room... grumbles at gabbi for awakening modelling needs
