At first sight, it seemed to be some impossible insect, able to navigate the universe without the necessity of air to breathe. But, it was no insect. It was a ship, a gigantic, "man-made" ship. A ship built on a scale totally mind-boggling. It was huge, the size of a moon or small planet. And, as we watched, it emitted an energy beam at the planet, which was still thousands of miles away. We watched as the planet disintegrate under the steady force of the energy beam. We watched, awed, stunned, and helpless as six billion people ceased to exist.
