Description
- I did not start this with the intention of doing a dark piece - But there is the theme of "Unanswered Prayers" - It is sad to me to see the disappointment - loss of faith - those who try so hard to live and believe in a christian way - ( I use christian it could be any religion )without any recignition from thier god - Who tells them they must die first - Well I leave this open for you to view as you will -
- Please take care -

A deep piece, open to all sorts of Interpretations, ....I lost My Faith in Prayer, when One of Gods many "In the Name of...." said I mumbled too much, and God would not be able to understand My dribble, from then on, it appeared that Gods Agents on Earth, were the One's to please, and I lost My Faith, before I understood what Faith was. Have a nice Day. Hugz!

Agree with Cyn about the hypnotic swirling and coloring, this is powerful and deep but I don't see it as dark. Open to interpretation of our conditions as fragile humans.

Prayers that lack praise for God often go unanswered. There is no accountancy or tit for tat that could be used to lever the servants of God from their faith. Jesus struck no rocks. He hid on no prostitutes roof. Nor did he destroy a city.

I absolutely love the artwork because it gives the feel of despair when prayers are unanswered. God is not bound to answer all our prayers and sometimes it is not that prayers go unanswered. They may have a different answer than we would like, but everything has it's purpose. Just like when Abraham was commanded to sacrifice Isaac in Genesis 22, it was a matter of Faith. God wanted to see if Abraham did indeed have Faith in Him and He also wanted to see if Isaac had Faith also. Answered prayers can be a very subjective thing. Often we must look past the obvious to what God is trying to tell us or what we need to learn...not what we want to learn. Anyway...I do love the artwork and I love that you pose these questions of conflicts. Great work Greg!...Cheryl
