This is just such a classic "Joce look" and I really love the shot.
Please leave me feedback about my shots. I'm new at this and would like the comments.

Ethesis
The shot would work a lot better from this angle if she were looking just over your left shoulder rather than trying to avoid the light. The brightness would get in her eyes, but it would completely remove the shadows and it would give her face and the pose a better line, evening out the shadow balance too.

Just a note, this shot was taken immediately after "at home" and that's why she was looking directly at me.
